Louisa
Louisa Dixon
Born March 31, 1950, in
Stamford, Connecticut, Louisa Dixon was raised in New Canaan, Connecticut
and is a graduate of Ohio State University, and Creighton Law School.
She has held two federal judicial clerkships, was appointed an assistant
solicitor in the U.S. Department of Energy, and worked for the John
Glenn Presidential campaign. From 1988-1992, she served as Commissioner
of Public Safety and the Mississippi Highway Patrol—the first
woman in the U.S. to head a state police agency. Prior to her appointment,
she directed investigative audits for the State Auditors Office. |
She lives in Jackson,
Mississippi, with her family and manages a tree farm in Natchez.
She has completed Slim Chance, her third Laura Owen book, and is
at work on the fourth book in the series.
